“MY NEIGHBOR ELVIS” AMONG 25 NOMINEES FOR THE 2027 LAS VEGAS FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS

The documentary film MY NEIGHBOR ELVIS, directed by Goran “Gonzo” Lukić, has been selected among the 25 nominees for the 2027 Las Vegas Film Festival Awards. The film was chosen from among 2,000 submitted works, and the festival will take place in January 2027.

This marks another international recognition for a film that has so far been screened at 16 film festivals worldwide and received four festival awards. This year, the film was also screened as part of the BH Film Program at the Sarajevo Film Festival, where it was presented to local audiences.

MY NEIGHBOR ELVIS tells the story of an unusual Sarajevo resident whose life has been shaped by his extraordinary love for the music of Elvis Presley. Through the story of a neighbour and his remarkable life journey, the film captures an authentic character and a glimpse of everyday life in Sarajevo, transforming a local story into a universal cinematic narrative.

The film was produced by Obojena Klapa (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Sirmium Film (Serbia). Benjamin Čengić is the producer, Alen Crnogorčević is the director of photography, Aleksandar Bugarin is the production designer, and Goran “Gonzo” Lukić is the film’s author.
