At the International film festival Las Las Palmas de Gran Canaria minor Bosnian co-production ŠAVOVI (STITCHES) directed by Miroslav Terzić and written by Bosnian and Herzegovinian scriptwriter Elma Tataragić has won 4 awards! Elma Tataragić won Dunia Ayaso Award for Best Screenplay, Snežana Bogdanović won the Award for Best Acctress and CIMA special mention and the film also won Audience Award!
As a reminder, this film was screened in Panorama program where it won the Europa Cinemas Label as Best European film in this section and 2nd place Audience Award. At the 47th FEST in Belgrade the film won FIPRESCI Jury Award, “Nebojša Äukelić” Award for Best Regional Film and Snežana Bogdanović won Best Actress Award.
STITCHES combines elements of thriller and melodrama, and deals with the story of newborn babies abducted from hospitals, which has been a hot social issue in Serbia and the region recently. The film brings the story of a woman who firmly believes that her baby-son was stolen more than 17 years ago, while she was told that her baby died. The main character is played by Serbian actress Snežana Bogdanović.
Bosnian and Herzegovinian co-producers are Amra Bakšić Čamo and Adis Äapo with SCCA/Pro.ba production company.
