NENAD DIZDAREVIĆ

Born in 1955 in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. He graduated in film and television directing from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. During his studies, he co-wrote with Tarik Haveric the screenplay for Aleksandar Jevđević’s 1975 television film HIDDEN TREASURE IN DRVAR. In 1976 he directed comedy THE TRUTH ABOUT UFOs based on Tarik Haverić’s screenplay. In 1977 he directed television film THE WOMAN ON THE ROCK based on Ivo Andrić’s short story of the same name. In 1983 he started working as an adjunct professor and then joined the teaching staff and became an associate professor at the Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts. He was also the dean of the Sarajevo Film Academy. He directed several TV films and series, including THAT TOO WILL PASS, numerous documentary films such as THE BLUE GUIDE – SARAJEVO (1993), THE FOURTH PART OF BRAIN (1995) and LOST YEARS (1995), as well as four fiction features, namely: GHAZI (1981), THAT TOO WILL PASS (1985), THE REGULAR TRAINS STATION (1989) and THE AKWARD AGE (1994).
