Synopsis:

The film documents Afro-Cuban dances and rituals introduced to the island nation by black slaves who had been forcibly brought to Cuba from Africa by Spanish occupiers and local slave owners. In addition to presenting various ceremonial and religious dances, the film also provides information about different ethnic groups that perform them.
