Synopsis:

How quickly can the face, customs and character of a city change? In 1878 Austro-Hungarian bureaucrats and petty officers rushed to Sarajevo with watercolors in hand, drawn by the exotic appearance of what for them was an unknown world and determined to capture for eternity that strange historic moment. Their naïve and inept paintings of Sarajevo, featuring trams, cars, promenades, ballroom dances and travelling film projectionists on one side, and fragments of the world hidden behind widow grilles of the sleepy, small-town houses on the other, tell the story of a clash between two very different worlds.
