Synopsis:

Film about the people who live in the delta of the River Neretva, the largest river of the eastern part of the Adriatic basin, and about their fight for fertile land. Faced with a scarcity of fertile land in the delta, people had attempted to cultivate arid rocky hills surrounding their wetland area. When individual efforts had failed, members of the community joined forces to introduce a good irrigation system which enabled them to turn their barren land into a fertile oasis surrounded by water and karst.
