Synopsis:

During an attempt to reach the liberated territory, a group of partisans are ambushed by the Chetniks. Fifteen-year-old partisan fighters Radojica and Milica fail to cross a river and remain stuck in the territory controlled by soldiers under the command of the Chetnik duke Dača. Partisan Radovan who had infiltrated the Chetnik unit joins a patrol that is pursuing Radojica and Milica. He hides Radojica and Milica at a base, but Radojica is impatient to get in touch with and re-join the partisans. Radovan’s efforts to protect Radojica fail and the 15-year-old is captured by the Chetniks. During a trial, Radojica follows his father’s advice and claims that he is an innocent shepherd and that the Chetniks arrested him for the purpose of blackmail. The court acquits Radojica, but Dača recognizes him and sends him back to prison. Radojica tricks his guards and manages to escape from the Chetnik prison.
With the help of a boy by the name of Mićo and the partisan fighter Radovan, Radojica reaches free territory, but because he has no way of proving that he really is a partisan, the partisans arrest him and put him in their prison. Radojica manages to escape from prison by feigning death and finally manages to prove to his comrades that a resistance fighter can do whatever he wants.
The lucky die twice.
