Synopsis:

In the aftermath of World War II, a temporary partisan hospital is set up in a seaside monastery, with nuns working as nurses. A beautiful young nun, Marija, is taking care of the injured partisans in one of the hospital rooms. Over time she gets to know these men and the stories of their life and grows increasingly fond of them. She becomes particularly attached to the Commissar Nenad. Although they are on different sides, a strange friendship develops between them. The young commissar, full of optimism and experience, disturbs Marija’s solemn life in the monastery. She starts discovering a new world she did not know existed, but her dedication and vows to the church prevent her from embracing it. In the unusual monastic surrounding, through a series of dynamic events, the personal drama of a woman who is a nun, is about to reach its conclusion.
