Synopsis:
The 1945 Yugoslav revolution and national liberation were militarized and rough, but at the same time fascinating and artistic. The film looks at the impact of the revolution on the private life of a family, the interaction between global and personal change. The family must learn the new rules, new songs and recitations. The revolution pushes aside old forms of entertainment, such as dancing and needlepoint tapestry making. Featured in the film are ordinary people, animals and famous historical figures. It is at times grim and at times exceptionally cheerful. It shows what happens with a family when it must embrace a revolution and what happens to a revolution when it penetrates a family.
