Synopsis:
In 1943, Croats of German origin who deserted the pro-fascist Croatian army, established a partisan unit in the eastern region of Slavonia. The German occupation troops attempted to find and destroy the unit fearing it could serve as a strong propaganda tool for the resistance. Loosely based on true events, the film follows the tragic story of a village merchant whose son is a member of the Hitler’s SS units while his daughter joined the partisans. The merchant is forced to make a difficult choice between the two sides.
