This is a tragicomic film about two university professors – eternal bachelor Tugomir Princip and Gerasim Miletić, the Department of Philosophy head who had been left by his wife. After Tugomir is abandoned at his wedding altar, by the woman he had hoped to marry, and left with a huge wedding bill to cover, the two professors are forced to work in a hotel where they walk elderly women’s dogs and help in the kitchen. When they finally manage to earn enough money to cover the cost of the failed wedding, the hotel manager informs them that the bill had already been covered by Tugomir’s first love Anabela. This film about intellectuals falling from grace and loss of dignity is full of funny twists, including the story of a German count who visits Bosnia to hunt and kill a bear that he had failed to kill during World War II.
