Synopsis:

The story of a boy whose mother was killed as a combatant while defending Sarajevo. Every day the boy takes a rose from the gardesn she took care of to put on her gravestone, but when he returns, the rose is not there anymore. Besides the boy's sad story, we meet people from his very close environment: his grand-mother, his grand-father, aunt, his friends - his mother's friends from the field, men who have memories of his mother, but who, in a very cruel time, find a lot of warmth and love for him.
