Synopsis:

Difficult legacy of Bosnia’s past was best reflected in its obsolete road infrastructure that did not meet even the most basic standards, with some of its roads appearing as if they were built in the middle ages.  But the construction of new transport infrastructure has now begun in Bosnia-Herzegovina and route selection and alignment is being carried out with the help of modern machinery. A new chapter in the history of Bosnia-Herzegovina is open as new roads are starting to connect the country with capital cities of other Yugoslav republics.
