BRANKO VEKIĆ was born in Sarajevo in 1966. From 1989 to 1991 he worked for Strip Art Features - Platinum Comics as graphic designed, and his works were published worldwide. For the logo of the USA issue of comic "Cat Claw" he received a prize of B&H Association of Propagandists (with Tarik Jasenković). He graduated from Academy of Fine Arts, Graphic Design Department, in 1992. From 1993 to 1995 he worked for IPC (now DPP and Fabrika) as art director, graphic designer and computer animator. He studied directing at Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts from 1995. He worked as graphic designer and animator on film NO MAN'S LAND by director and screenwriter Danis Tanović, winner of numerous awards including Oscar for the Best Foreign film. From 2000 to 2003 he teaches conceptual design at Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts. He directed the first animation film with character animation on 35mm LOVE AND TOLERANCE for SFOR in 2002 and a number of music videos.
