Today it has been 91 years since the birth of one of the most productive and best-known Bosnian filmmakers Hajrun Šiba Krvavac.

Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac was born on 22nd December 1926 in Sarajevo. He became a filmmaker after the Second World War. He made more than forty documentary films, TV series, short and feature films. He also wrote over twenty screenplays. His most notable films are THE DEMOLITION SQUAD, THE BRIDGE, WALTER DEFENDS SARAJEVO and PARTIZAN ESCADRILA. Although these films were produced in the seventies they still represent the continuity of contemporary film expression in the aesthetic and any other artistic segment, which is why they are the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac is considered to be the only Bosnian and Herzegovinian action films director, also the creator and representative of the entire film genre, known as the "Partisan Western".

Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac passed away on 11th July 1992 in Sarajevo and was buried in Sarajevo's "Lav" Cemetery.
