International Festival BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA LOOKS AROUND will take place from 9th to 11th November. This Festival will offer rich program of Bosnian and Herzegovinian films as well as films from neighbouring countries. “Aktion – Leben und Lernen in Bosnien e. V.”, a non-profit association in Bottrop, Germany, hosts an international film festival over the course of three days. The focal point of the Festival will be Bosnia and Herzegovina and its neighbouring countries – their shared history, social challenges, war traumas and desire to find their place in Europe.

In collaboration with the Association of Filmmakers in Bosnia and Herzegovina the Festival will present short films from Bosnia and Herzegovina: ROOSTER by Sabrina Begović Ćorić, I REMEMBER by Elma Tataragić, JUST ANOTHER DAY by Tina Šmalcelj, INVISIBLE by Amra Mehić, PINK ELEPHANT by Ado Hasanović and INTERVIEW by Nermin Hamzagić.

The audience will also have a chance to see Bosnian and Herzegovinian films in main Competition program: LEJLA by Stijn Bouma, OSTAJEM-I AM STAYING by Maja Bahtijarevic and Johanna Jannsen, NIGHT WALKS by Julia Rodrigue, INTERVIEW by Nermin Hamzagić, WINTER SUN by Pilar Palomero, CORRESPONDENCE #1 – LETTER TO BORIS LEHMAN by Salvador Palma, SNOW FOR WATER by Christopher Villiers and BELONGING by Judith Beuth and Jasmin Brutus.
