69th Berlinale Shorts selected two Bosnian films: CAN'T YOU SEE THEM? - REPEAT by Clarissa Thieme and RED RUBBER BOOTS (Out of competition) from 2000 by Jasmila Žbanić.

CAN'T YOU SEE THEM? – REPEAT by Clarissa Thieme is coproduction between Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina and it was produced in collaboration with Library Hamdija Kreševljaković Video Arhiv and it was made from footage filmed by Nedim Alikadić in May 1992.

RED RUBBER BOOTS is a well-known documentary by Jasmila Žbanić from 2000 telling the story of a mother searching for the remains of her two children who were killed and buried in the mass grave.

RED RUBBER BOOTS and CAN'T YOU SEE THEM? – REPEAT along with French film OMARSKA by Varun Sasindra, that was edited by Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts student Sajra Subašić, focus on the post-war zone of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This latter part of the programme serves as a departure point for an examination of remembrance culture and the dynamics of participation in the writing of history.

As we announced before Macedonian film GOD EXISTS, HER NAME IS PETRUNIJA by Teona Strugar Mitevska is selected for this year's Berlinale Competition and script for this film was written by our scriptwriter Elma Tataragić.
